As a teenager i used to play football for wendover juniors. Tom ross kindly took over the team and become our football manager. Steve played a good part in our side, you could of played him anywhere, and he would just get on with it. This what a true gentleman Steve was he used to travel from his house near tring and drive the otherside of Aylesbury to pick me up for football training bear in mind he’s driving past Wendover more or less just to come and pick me up, and when training finished which is probably about 8:30 in the evening he dropped me all the way back home couldn’t ask for a better team mate really, Steve was such a lovely guy. Ive not seen Steve for years but it’s still Hurts to lose a team mate. Rest in peace, Steve. my heart goes out to all your friends and especially the Ross family.
